1. Language preference
On a first visit, MacLee uses the country code supplied with the web request to select English, Spanish, Dutch or German. Any other country or language defaults to English. This automatic selection is not stored. If you choose a language yourself, the site stores only that language code under “maclee-language” in local storage so your choice remains selected. MacLee does not store your precise location for this purpose.
2. Cookieless measurement
MacLee counts page views, admission clicks and application-security events without setting an analytics cookie or using browser storage. A daily rotating one-way identifier prevents simple double counting. It cannot be used by MacLee to recover your raw IP address and changes each day.
3. Necessary security
Restricted Academy routes may use strictly necessary authentication and security cookies provided by the hosting and sign-in infrastructure. They are used to protect access and maintain a requested session.
4. External services
Links to Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook open those platforms. Their cookies and tracking are controlled by those companies after you leave MacLee.
5. Managing storage and changes
You can remove the saved language preference through your browser's site-data settings. Blocking necessary session storage can prevent the restricted Academy environment from working. If MacLee later adds advertising or other non-essential storage, this notice and consent controls will be updated before activation.
